Still going with killing the music industry little by little - I’m very pleased with the player. It’s not a Sony (they are all Walkman to me) but sounds really good. Gave it a thorough clean and changed belts and it’s great. Very loud!

Decided last night to let somebody else enjoy the W.A.R. tape player and sold it almost immediately on eBay. I’ve now ordered a proper old unit from the 80s. Going to clean it up, new belts etc, and listen like it’s 1984. #CassetteTape #walkman

I definitely owned Happy Hour on tape, and a couple of other King Missile albums too if I remember rightly.

There was a time when I only bought tapes and refused to get a CD player. But then indie bands I liked started releasing album as CD-only, many of them burned at home. Which made me revise my opinion and embrace the CD as a DIY music disruption medium.

Hier ben ik er net achter dat Baghead Records heeft bestaan. In 1986 brachten ze 3 compilatie cassettes uit.
De komende uren zijn het die lekker rauwe DIY punkmuziekjes.

Over Baghead Records ben ik nog niet zoveel te weten gekomen, helaas. Ze hebben een pagina op Discogs.com met het label 'Needs major changes' in de 'Data Quality Rating' sectie.

Voor #Nirvana superfans: op Baghead Records 002 'Get Obnoxious' staat: Fecal Matter - Sound of Dentage. Fecal Matter is de pre-Nirvana band van Kurt Cobain. Die brachten ook maar 1 cassette uit, met voornamelijk 'untitled' tracks. Natuurlijk zijn die cassettes inmiddels niet te betalen.
