Cass Elliott - "Mama Cass" from The Mamas and The Papas - died almost 50 years ago, aged just 32. For years it has been said she choked to death on a ham sandwich. Now her daughter wants to put the record straight.

Remembering Mama Cass Elliot, who died on 29 July 1974 of a heart attack at Harry Nilsson’s London flat. Four years later, Keith Moon would die in the same room, at the same age (32).
Cass’ self-titled 1972 album contains some belting versions of great songs including Jesus Was A Cross Maker and Disney Girls.
