Hey Whatcom County: fill out the poll for Cascadia Daily's "Citizens Agenda" and shape the questions they will ask of local candidates. In particular, I encourage you to pick #15 about Ranked Choice Voting and #36 about Gerrymandering, but there are a lot of other good topics on there too.

A big article in the #CascadiaDaily about the recent Whatcom County charter review meeting about #RankedChoiceVoting. It was really a fascinating meeting with four invited guests who are #RCV experts from around the country. Well worth watching the video of the meeting (linked at the end of the article) https://www.cascadiadaily.com/2025/may/14/ranked-choice-voting-considered-in-whatcom-but-it-would-cost-auditor-says/

Nice article in #CascadiaDaily about one of our favorite local artworks, the "Non Sign II" sculpture at the Blaine border crossing:

Fascinating map from the #UniversityOfWashington Racial Restrictive Covenants Project which found more than 1,500 racial covenants on property deeds in #WhatcomCounty. While the language still exists, it no longer carries any weight since the supreme court ruled in 1948 that restrictive covenants could not be enforced.
