29 copies of Black Beauty were made from scrounged 1964, 1965, and 1966 Chrysler Imperial Crown Sedans, many of which were rusted out, and had to be rebuilt. Only 3 survived production intact.

The car (Reg V194) was driven by Britt Reid / Green Hornet's valet and crime-fighting partner, Kato. It was fitted with machine guns, rocket launchers and the ability to emit green Hornet gas.
