Up Up and Away
What a difference 20 years made in an event that has come to Pittsfield NH for 44 years.Mind you this is a very rural town, of all English speaking citizens and on Saturday evening I could have been in a country far far away. Celebrating Nature: Rain, Turtles, and Gratitude
We have had just enough rain to make everything pretty around here though a blonde moment for me left me as colorful as some of my feathered friends The arm didn't break at 70 that is good news. So much drama I swear. This large snapping turtle had come up from the river as she has for many many years only to get nosy and probably ticked off to see the flowers and lawn much further along in her nesting area and she fell off the retaining wall. At regular #CarShows I'm treated like shit if they find out I'm a #furry. (I've started actively making an effort to hide it.)
Currently I'm at a #FurryCon and tried to enter the show here. They told me "all the spots were taken", but they're also currently within earshot actively talking shit about me and my car.
I've been looking forward to this show for months. It's easy to tell me "just ignore them, they're not worth it", but that isn't helpful because I still don't feel like I fit in anywhere and it really fucking hurts.
My therapist has been trying to get me to socialize more because isolating myself hasn't been good for me, but it's really difficult when I can't seem to engage with anyone in a meaningful way no matter where I go.
