Everybody think warm thoughts for @mbroome, who is out running the #Carrboro #50k in subfreezing temps all morning! I snuck a peek at the weather while he was getting dressed at 0-dark-30, and it is Not Warm out today. 🥶 Base temp is bad enough, but that wind-chill... 💨
I, on the other hand, will be wearing my ski clothes to the farmer's market, and then hiding indoors all morning. Runners. 🤷🏻♀️

The other night the kid and I e-biked home from a late theater rehearsal via a cross-town #greenway in #Carrboro and #ChapelHill. It was a clear enough night that she was picking out constellations as I pedaled.
We also saw 3 deer and an owl. More greenways, please!

Interesting (if a bit confusing) news for music fans in the Triangle. Owner Frank Heath is adding a second location to his famous Cat’s Cradle music venue. He purchased the building at 107 Brewer Lane which is literally around the corner from the existing location and plans to run the two concurrently.
It’s likely to become the main and only location if the landlord on his current place move forward with their redevelopment plans.

I voted! I live in something called an Extraterritorial Jurisdiction, which means even though there's a mayor and a town council race to decide who makes the decisions about how I can use my home and property, I'm not allowed to vote for them. I could only vote for the school board. Sadly, no candidate was running on a platform of just listening to what the kids in my district want, so I had to do my best to pick four to vote for based on my best guess and research. #ChapelHill #Carrboro

Carrboro, NC, just made housing more affordable. When will your town follow suit?
