I've driven 29,000 kilometers (29km/day).

I've spent €4,500 on fuel (€4.5/day).

I've spent €5,500 on parking (€5.5/day).

Maintenance, parts, insurance and other costs have been €5,700 (€5.7/day).

The value of the car has probably decreased by €10,000 (€10/day).

Each day of car ownership has cost me ~€26. Close to €10k a year. #carownership

Self driving cars are closer to full implementation every day and I've believed that they eventually will kill car ownership. Cars sit idle for the majority of a day so why not call up a self driving vehicle when needed and eliminate all ownership costs. Plus IMO public transit will be more of a focus for cities, large and small.

And now the subscription model is making inroads to further erode car ownership.
