  1. There's a Carolina Wren in our house... And it's not even #Wrensday!

ALSO: How the heck did she get in here!?!

  3. Ever spotted a Carolina wren hanging out in the understory? These little fellas may be small and rust-colored, but their voice is anything but quiet. Get ready for some loud surprises from these feathered friends! 🌳🐦 #CarolinaWren #BirdPhotography #WildlifePhotography #ForestBirds #Nature

  4. Oh hey, it's Wednesday, which means it's #Wrensday!

At the old place we spoiled our local backyard birds. And the Carolinas would get sassy if we didn't keep them well stocked with expensive mealworms.

  6. The Stump and the Singer

I love the composition of this image. While my dog Charlie and I were out this morning, we came across a Carolina wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus) perched atop a tall, weathered tree stump—busy, perhaps, hunting for spiders. I started taking pictures right away, worried it might fly off before I got the shot.

First, I photographed into the sun. Then we moved past and I caught a few with the light behind me. This is one of those. The wren did me a solid and stuck around—unbothered, photogenic, and perfectly poised.

Step into a world where even the smallest moments—like the glint in a bird's eye—tell their own story.

  8. Ugh, I missed #WrensDay! Well, I can’t wait until next week- We are are hosting a Carolina Wren couple and a few of their eggies 🥰

Carolina wrens are notorious for picking weird/unique nesting spots. And these two are really embracing it. This nest is commingled with an extension cord in a crate on our front porch.

  12. Tail Up, Eyes Sharp

This Carolina wren (scientific name) made a relatively rare appearance this morning. I touched don't on a small tree in front of me just long enough for me to snap this photo. This also happens to be the first post of a photo taken with my new Canon R5.

  14. Big Voice, Small Bird: Carolina Wren

A Carolina Wren showed up during a February snowstorm, full of attitude and louder than any other bird in the backyard. I managed a quick shot through the kitchen window, and finally got around to editing and sharing it—late, but worth it.
