Speciesism, racism, sexism, ableism, ageism, queermisia etc are all part of the same ideology of domination and supremacy and exploitation "they are objectively below us and it is our natural right to exploit and discard them and they have no right to fight back"
When you look at carnism through this lens it becomes obvious why anarchism and veganism are part of the same ideology that exists in opposition to domination in opposition to supremacy and in opposition to exploitation

"Non-human animals waste water/land/resources" is still human supremacist and speciesist framing that classes non humans as resources not individuals. When there's "too many" humans we don't say they waste resources; their life and individual experience is intrinsically valuable and I shouldn't need to explain why mass human killing or forced sterilization isnt a "solution" to overpopulation
Generally vegans would say that eating plant based would cause flesh farmers to breed less non human animals into existence and so its not the same as being responsible for the death of "overpopulated" species and that would be fine by itself but the mindset of treating too many non-human animals as a problem whos solution is always "reduce their population" and human overpopulation as potentially having other solutions is speciesist and risks promoting human supremacist eugenicism

#ForMeBeingVegan is a form of both compassion, resistance and political boycott in a society that tortures and kills sentient beings when it is possible to do otherwise. It is also a reminder that many situations of domination and abuse of power have the same root, call it #powerarchy or #kyriarchy, that, at the same time, links all kinds of #oppressions and links all types of activism against these same oppressions. I feel like an outcast when I have to bring my own #vegan food to a gathering----
Being #vegan is, in many ways, a tremendously empowering experience. For many of us, becoming #vegan shifted our whole way of thinking about and relating to the world, making us feel more connected with our authentic thoughts and feelings and more engaged with life.
And yet, being #vegan comes with challenges. Because of #carnism, most people have a very limited understanding of what #veganism actually is and of how #vegans experience the world. And because many social experiences revolve around food, we can end up feeling disconnected from our loved ones as a result of choosing not to partake in certain shared experiences.

Well, yeah! Thatβs why I damn well took it: to set firm and reasonable boundaries with people. #Carnism gives people blinders and they have trouble understanding that there even is a boundary. The Pledge gave me something concrete I could point to and send people off to cope with on their own time at their own pace, instead of me having to try and coach them through it every time this common social issue comes up.
If #DxE wants to try something else, they should go right ahead. But Iβm super disappointed to see that they are winding down the Pledge. That reflects poorly on me to the people I have been sending to the page. When I take a stand on something like this, I mean it.
