  1. "Fame" is a song by the English singer-songwriter #DavidBowie. It was released on his 1975 album #YoungAmericans and was later issued as the album's second #single by #RCARecords in June 1975. Written by Bowie, #CarlosAlomar and #JohnLennon, it was recorded at #ElectricLadyStudios in #NewYorkCity in January 1975. It is a #funkRock song that represents Bowie's dissatisfaction with the troubles of fame and stardom.

“I had the audacity to say, ‘Are we gonna rehearse, Mr. Berry?’ He whipped around and yelled, ’We don’t rehearse rock ‘n’ roll!’”: Session great Carlos Alomar on his time as Chuck Berry’s rhythm guitarist
Alomar also recalls his tour with James Brown and the time the King of Soul yelled ‘Hit me!’ and he didn’t hit back

Bowie working with Tony Visconti, guests include Robert Fripp, Pete Townshend, Carlos Alomar, Andy Clark

Transitional album between the Berlin Trilogy and Let’s Dance. (I know some folks think of it as his last great album, and see LD as a falling off – I don’t, but do love this album).

Had this one since the early 80s so not sure where I picked it up
