Carlos Giménez originally created his adaptation of Poe’s 'The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar' in 1971 for the Spanish magazine 'Trinca', but it was never published there due to "censorship problems." The story was finally published in 1976 in 'Club de Amigos de la Historieta', and then in the magazine 'Cimoc', in 1979.
