so my async class in the fall will use a jupyterlab desktop install with custom pkm extension as a 'lab bench'. Just cooked up a notebook showing how to visualize LiDAR, drawing on #carletonu library lidar datasets - the data shows Pinhey's Point, a ruined great house overlooking the #Ottawa river. When the class launches, all these materials will be available for everyone.

Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed on May 11 2022 while reporting on a raid of the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank by the Israel Defense Forces.

1 more student to go, & then pretty much all of my current crop of MA students will have hit the finish line. This summer's gang have written their theses or major projects on: a board game connected with aspects of ww1 social history; a new game design framework for historian-developers of video games; a knowledge graph approach to reconstituting dispersed museum collections; a machine learning model detecting/analyzing marginalia in historic manuscripts.
