40 years ago this week, "Friends And Lovers" by #CarlAnderson & #GloriaLoring entered the #Top10 at 6. It peaked at 2 on 27 Sep 1986. It was originally recorded for the soap opera #DaysOfOurLives, where she played a lounge singer. Anyone remember the couple it became a love theme for? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD5qspQgsYo #1980s #MusicHistory #MusicVideo

"Friends and Lovers" is a song written by #JayGruska and #PaulGordon. The song was first recorded as a #duet by #GloriaLoring and #CarlAnderson in 1985 for the #soapOpera #DaysOfOurLives, produced by #DougLenier. That recording remained unreleased until the summer of 1986, when it was released shortly after a version by #JuiceNewton and #EddieRabbitt hit country radio. The country version featured the altered title of "Both to Each Other (Friends and Lovers)".
