Just to see if there was a reaction, I sat with Mum and watched an episode of “Doctors”. In it, an elderly parent was manipulating an adult child into looking after them, and had been for 25 years.
It washed over her completely, not even a flicker… Sadly, unlike the character, I don’t have an ex-girlfriend in LA who is going to ring me up and ask me to move over there!

Being a parent to an elderly parent, is exhausting and unappreciated. Especially when you are managing your own chronic health conditions. #CaringForMyMother #CaringForOthers
