Almost the same as yesterday but this time we had garlic coriander tempeh (better than gyros style) accompanying the tomato rice and tried another one of the awesome pepper sauces from my friend. I was too curious. ☺️

The new one was Jeez-an-ages with apple and mango (the more orange coloured blob on my plate). Delicious as well but we all agreed that yesterday’s Doux Doux was slightly better suited to this particular dish. That doesn’t mean I like one over the other, we have to try them with more food items before I would dare to rank them. On its own Jeez-an-ages is definitely even fruitier than Doux Doux. So good! 😋 And spicy! 🥵 And we haven’t even tried the bottle with the four peppers yet… 😅

Our lunch today was tomato rice with gyros tempeh and salad. The tempeh didn’t have much taste despite the seasoning. However while we were away a nice package had arrived which gave this meal a first class upgrade!

My good friend Christine had sent me four bottles of her range of homemade Caribbean style pepper sauces. We tried the Doux Doux one and it was an absolute game changer. Yes, it was hot and spicy but it also tasted fruity and went really, really well with our meal. We were very pleased. 😋

Unfortunately the fridge is full at the moment so I can’t open all of the bottles straight away but it won’t take long going by the half bottle that disappeared today already. 😅
