🧵 #EV #Tax #RoadTax #CarDuty Did a quick calculation. My new mileage eco-tax on my EV will cost me over 750GBP a year. That's on top of road tax of which until last year was zero.
Now. There are important things to unpack in that headline. If I were buying petrol my annual mileage would net the UK govt around 1700GBP so this still makes driving an EV far more economical than driving an Infernal Combustion Engine vehicle.
