TNG is amazing in season 3, and some of the season 2 episodes are delightful.

Season 4 is pretty great, and seasons 5-7 have some memorable moments, but the true "Roddenberrian" vision starts to fade as soon as s4e12 "The Wounded."

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love #STTNG and #DS9, but the #Cardassian war retcon was a total violation of Gene's vision.

People may find episodes before s4e12 "boring," but I honestly loved the relatively placid, exploratory/philosophical themes.

But DS9's war-heavy stories were amazing, as well.

No comment about Voyager. 😆
If the writers couldn't bother to remember that Samantha Wildman didn't die at the end of the episode, I don't feel particularly compelled to re-watch it, even though it had some characters I really, really loved.

As the holidays are right around the corner, I'll be posting my wishlist of items that caught my eye yet again this year.

I just finished A Stitch in Time by Andrew J Robinson, the actor who played Garak in #DeepSpace9. It fills in some of Garak’s backstory and expands a bit on post Dominion war Cardassia. The audiobook was read by the author, in character. It respected canon, was brilliantly written and read, far exceeding any expectations I had. My only complaint is that it’s a single work.

If you are a #StarTrek #DS9 fan, it’s a great read. I envy anyone who hasn’t read it. Because they are in for a treat. Not an ad. Just a fan.

@saramg if you include the red lights on the pain inducer remote control, then there are 6 lights. (Not to mention all the small lights in the columns in the back).
I bet Gul Madred would not have been amused by that answer though. ;)

I do still wonder if Madred just wanted Picard to say he saw five lights, or if he actually regarded himself as the fifth light.
Being in the #Cardassian military, I assume the latter.
