  6. Happy #EHRC guidance goes live day to all my disobedient #trans siblings here on #terfIsland.

Citing reasonable concerns, hypotheticals and outliers, ‘gender critics’ used money, influence, and the courts to create a permission structure to exclude us from gendered spaces.

The only people who will actually use it, already had lots of ways to make us unwelcome. Their bullshit is priced in to our lives already and so in a sense nothing has changed.

That still leaves trans people in trouble, in #carceral spaces, in the #nhs, in #school and #endOfLife, and in finding #work. Oh and #sports, if you could ever access them in the first place.

You know what none of us are going to do, though? #exclude ourselves from our lives as they are now, just because a handful of judges decided that a sixteen year old equality law, that protected us, was actually a bathroom ban all along.

We’re also going to seize their ‘third spaces’ rhetoric for our #nonBinary peeps and get on with ending all this gender nonsense!

  11. Why do #ConcentrationCamps turn into #extermination projects? Because #fash #states think that the #carceral #deprivation and #torture will deter #rebellions As we see from #Gaza the world's largest concentration camp - and many others, this is not what happens. The concentration is a radicalising process, in exactly the same way as prisons are universities and network facilitators of criminal enterprise. Faced with this realisation - that the people you have imprisoned are now fully concentrated on your defeat, the fash response - of course, always out of fear of righteous vengeance - is to seek to eradicate the threat of consequence rather than account for strategic missteps in creating the concentration camp in the first place.

  21. May be useful to know where you and I may end up soon, as more people in the US are taken by the government. Cecot is a prison in El Salvador the US government has already sent ~250 people from the US to against the order of a federal judge, without charges filed, with no trials nor due process.

  39. Black parents have historically been divided from our children by #enslavement, the modern #carceral system, family courts, + #capitalist work demands. I've been overjoyed to welcome my second baby this year, with a partner who's committed to healthy co-parenting and social justice. And I'm committed to being present with my #baby while maintaining my #activism and #radical tech projects.
