Let's say I wanted "an car" that is reliable, fuel efficient, and hasn't suffered collision damages. I'd want to spend as little as humanly possible. I'd prefer to have a car car, not a truck or SUV, but if an SUV is cheaper than I'd consider it.
What's a reasonable budget in USD to walk to the table with? I'm in the USA.

Well I’ve spent the last couple of hours driving the Qashqai around, getting a feel for it. I did drive back to Wodonga but didn’t go to my place because guess who left her house keys in my old car. Lots to learn about the car, like how to turn off the seat heating, I don’t need my bum warmed up unless it’s snowing outside! I went through the process of putting some petrol in. A couple of things I need my friend to explain & one little thing I need her to add to the fixes, which she asked me to do if I came across anything. It is a couple of years older than she thought & has done 95,000km. It is fabulous to drive, I really like it & I’m definitely getting it for a good price. Any issues it has are minor & will be fixed & the whole car detailed.
Too many other things happening in my life over the next few months though, so my friend will hold onto it until I get back from Adelaide in mid September.

Good morning tooters. Another fairly mild night & morning, 6c when I got up & it is overcast again. Showers supposed to be happening this afternoon & heading up to a cool’ish 14c.
Grocery day today, but not a full one, just stocking up on a couple of things getting low & a treat to take out to Chiltern on Thursday, but I don’t know what 🤷🏼♀️.
I’ll be swapping my old car while I’m in Chiltern to drive around a Qashqai for a couple of days, see if I like it. It’s been offered to me at a very reasonable price by a friend whose daughter has gone to Korea for a couple of years. I am interested as it has all the bells & whistles my old dunger lacks & that I’d planned on getting rid of in September anyway. A little nervous & excited as I’ve never driven a car like this, it feels too fancy with its surround cameras, electrics etc. I know there are fancier cars around, but not that I can afford & I’d never be able to afford similar to this from a car yard.

Just bought a new car — a newer version of the one I’ve had for eight years.
Didn’t expect the new car to be missing the programmable buttons for opening a garage door.
Oh, wait! I can link the auto app with the garage door app plus $179 to get a button on the touchscreen dashboard. 🤨
Or I can go to Home Depot and buy a $24 universal remote and not worry about having my comings and goings be tracked and monetized. 😑

I'm looking at buying a new or used #EV, & found a few that will suit me. But... Bloody dealers! 🤬 That's aside from their offensive trade in offers... I've saved several possibles, getting notified as prices change. Some change prices *up & down* or down & up in a single day. One rose 7k & was down again within minutes. Others down 5k, then up again the next day. WTF?
I guess they're telling me that sticker price is bullshit, & that there's *always* negotiating room. 🤷

I am shocked it is June, and dealers whom sell EV’s haven’t figured out they can transfer the federal EV credit, and that it makes the car significantly more attractive to buyers.
