Of course, #Israel—and the entire world Jewish community—has an obligation to redeem #captives. In Entebbe, Israel rescued 102 hostages with only 3 hostage fatalities (one of whom was murdered in the hospital in Uganda following the operation), and one military fatality (famously, Yoni Netanyahu עה״ש, brother of Bibi).

The Entebbe operation involved about 100 Israeli commandos: roughly the same as the number of #hostages. And of course there was a chance Israel could lose everybody: all the soldiers and all the hostages. But they took the risk in order to deny the #terrorists any benefit from their actions.

Now it seems that we do both: we sacrifice precious lives, strain our relations with the world, and tax the economy — and in the end, the terrorists get their reward anyway. From the terrorists' POV, that's a pretty strong ROI. 2/

We fully agree but the post was only meant to illustrate how "democratic #Israel" treats their #Palestinian #captives vs. how "#terrorist etc. #Hamas" seems to treat #Israelis in their custody.

The last picture is where Noa #Argamani was supposedly held and we strongly believe that the bedroom of a Palestinian child is certainly a much nicer place than a Zionist concentration camp.

The post was not about how Israel treats #children, which is a whole sad topic by itself, of course.

Neither the Israeli govt nor #Hamas… has said exactly how many people are being held in #Gaza, but the issue has wracked families in #Israel & abroad, & looms large as Israel preps for a possible invasion.

In total, The Post found visual #evidence that Hamas fighters took ≥106 #hostages during the incursion. Beside those who appeared to be taken to Gaza, 26 #captives were seen being held in locations that couldn’t be verified, & 16 were seen only in Israel.

#Hamas took ≥64 #captives into #Gaza, a review of visual #evidence by The WaPo indicates.

The presence of scores of #hostages in Gaza, a large majority of them #civilians, increases the risks involved in a possible Israeli #invasion.

Among them were 49 people who appeared to be civilians - 9 of them #children & 11 who appeared to be members of the Israeli military…. In 4 cases, it wasn’t possible to determine whether the captive was a civilian or soldier.
