I am having a problem signing in to my Ebay account. It keeps asking me to check a checkbox. I do so, and then, it gives me an inaccessible captcha with no audio alternative. I tried this on Windows 7, 10, and 11, with Firefox and Supermium, and nothing changes. I can't even read their accessibility page because it asks me to sign in and sending me back to the captchas! Is there a trustworthy captcha solver that works with NVDA or a way around this? Alternatively, does anyone here know of another site that sells vintage and antique things, or even another ebay replacement in general? I've been with them for over twenty years as a buyer, but if I need to change sites, I will do so. This is ridiculous!

Lately making my way through all episodes of "Once We Were Spacemen," a remarkably relaxed and entertaining podcast by Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. They met making the beloved/cult science fiction/Western TV show "Firefly," and have been friends ever since.
Alan just remarked that he's played so many robots in TV and movies that, "I can't fill out captchas anymore ... I'm like, bikes, I don't see any bikes."

Wenn reCAPTCHA eine als verdächtig eingestufte Aktivität meldet, verzichtet es auf die alten Bildrätsel und fordert Sie auf, einen QR-Code zu scannen. Dieser Scan erfordert, dass Play Services im Hintergrund läuft und mit Googles Servern kommuniziert. Exactly. I do have LibreSearch (LibreY) instance of my own, but that is still not good enough for real world. The same way I had tried few other to self host for family, but am struggling to get past the #null responses or #captchas stuff.Also, captcha sometimes become necessary or maybe #anubis like stuff for the crap #bots

Literally everyone I know — whether techie or not — hates #captchas.
Why is it, then, that a non-profit such as the org behind @Codeberg offer a more user-friendly #UX of, and attitude towards, captchas on their sign-up page than the usual gang of ginormous Big Tech corporations? Considering the huge difference in resources, it just doesn't make sense.
Come to think of it, let’s consider this yet another Very Good Reason™ to support solid #Fediverse offerings where possible. 👍

Nachdem ich heute wieder eine Email von Instagram bzgl. Datenschutz bekommen habe. Wollte ich den Account generell löschen. Eigentlich hatte ich gedacht wenn ich den Account bei Fratzenbuch lösche wird dieser auch gelöscht. Aber das war wohl nicht so. Da ich keinen blassen schimmer mehr hab was das PW ist wollte ich das zurücksetzen. Aber da darf man #Captchas lösen und kommt nie weiter.
