Gee, all of these concerns expressed about certain people feeling unsafe at Ottawa Pride, so what happens??? The police provide less than half of the requested officers.

The Capital Pride solidarity statement is exposing the greed of its corporate sponsors and the complacency of public institutions. They show up when they think they can curry public favour, but any hint of actually needing to take a "contentious" political position has them running.
Pride is political.
Th benefit of this ridiculous brouhaha is that we might get a parade without the capitalists.
