In the background are the twin engines of finance and technology: unaccountable, placeless, and entirely prepared to occupy the vacuum left by political withdrawal."

"Machines will replace us" is the new Capitalist Realism paranoia. Is easier to imagine machines dominating us than realize the class and colonialist domination we already live in. The bourgeoisie owns the means of production, including technology. The answer is rebelling against the ruling class, not machines. Data sovreignity, tribal sovreignity and anti imperialism is the way for true independence.
