Reading tech sites this time of the year makes it abundantly clear that they are just shopping extensions and vessels for ads. Verge, Engadget etc are 90% Black Friday and “cyber Monday” ads with absolutely no real tech content. Who really cares about those events? We should buy less crap, not more.
