The Beaton Family, Rachel Davis, Natalie McMaster, the MacGillivray’s, Chrissy Crowley - there are so many awesome fiddlers preserving #NovaScotia and #CapeBretonIsland musical traditions. When I was in high school I worked at Ralph’s Dairy after school a couple days a week and on some weekends.
It was a small convenience store in Whycocomagh and a great place to work. Cathy was a great person to work for.
Cathy and her husband died in a car collision and the store closed afterwards, and sat empty until it was torn down for a small park.
This plaque and small garden is in their memory.
