This cat was sunning on a very cold day in a narrow alley that probably gets no more than a couple hours of winter sun. I wish I could have joined in on the inside with a cup of coffee and a friendly cat while my fingers were practically frozen on the metal shutter release button.

I took this photo a couple years ago and I still can't quite figure out which way I was looking up or down when shooting this subway entrance roof. It's kind of fun to forget what I shot a while back and rediscovering the scene again (that's how I'm justifying my backlog okay!)

Shot exactly two years ago and finally developed last week. I love the havoc of colors that come from light leaks. You get double the fun on self-loaded film since you can catch something funky at the beginning and the end of the roll since I use a daylight loader. This was shot on Vision3 500 Tungsten-light balanced film without a warming filter on a very cool/gloomy day so the burst of warm color was a nice surprise.

New Orleans is an excellent and colorful place. While this rainbow cape wearer is a dear friend and was kind enough to strike a pose and hold it while I guessed at an exposure, there were many colorful and friendly strangers around most corners.

The splash was epic and even though I missed the decisive moment not knowing it was liberating. I could focus on enjoying the moment, sharing laughter at puddle water all over my friend's shorts and IN his mouth.
I'm sticking with just using Negadoctor for all exposure/color adjustments (Darktable/Ansel is an amazing FOSS project). Improving scan quality will be a process... π¬ tips welcome!

Probably the second most photographed thing in #Chattanooga
I thought I knew what to expect from TMax, but this was a lot darker in the shadows than I expected. The Canon was new to me, and only has spot metering with no exposure lock. As I look at it more, I like it better. Maybe its just normal TMax behavior

Still working on dialing in my 35mm LOG workflow but I've started using a Kodak 2383 LUT as a starting point from the scans which are pretty close to Rec.709 2.4 Gamma already then tweaking from there
In this case I'm very happy with the results from the roll of Vision3 50D and semi happy with the Vision3 500T where I seemed to underexpose by like two stops for most of the roll.
