@alternativeto Audile is another really great FOSS #Shazam alternative! It links the identified song to multiple providers (including #MusicBrainz), it has an Android widget, and you can select AudD, ACRCloud, or Shazam as the recognition provider.

I've been meaning to share this for a while, but for any Android users out who want to use a text-to-speech engine other than Google's, I recommend Sherpa TTS: https://github.com/woheller69/ttsEngine

It's open source, offline, multilingual, and available on F-Droid.

I use text-to-speech a lot with my RSS readers (Feeder and ReadYou), and it's been a game-changer.

I know that converting #Eventbrite organizer events to ical calendar events is possible (thanks to https://eb-to-ical.daylightpirates.org/), but is it possible to get alerts of new events by an organizer via #rss? (besides with #killthenewsletter, I guess)

2. Another option could be to use #CaptionNinja: https://caption.ninja. It's a #WebCaptioner replacement, and only works on Chrome (and co). Caption Ninja is cool, though, because:

- it has a live feed that can be shared with others or added into #OBS as a browser source overlay thingie
- it seems pretty customizable (https://github.com/steveseguin/captionninja),
- it has a manual text entry mode (for stenographers?)
- can add speaker labels
