Oh my, Fabiano Caruana and Gukesh D both won in the penultimate round of the #FIDECandidates Tournament! Gukesh has a half point lead as the last round sees Hikaru play Gukesh and Fabi play Ian. This means it's a must win situation for Ian, Hikaru and Fabi. Will Gukesh keep his lead?

The Evan's Gambit doesn't appear at Candidates level chess that much. In fact, it doesn't occur that much in top level chess since the late 1800's.

I've not faced it for about 30 years but my repertoire is on the board 🙂
