Cancelling Thursday’s NNM Event
This Thursday was supposed to be a Pride celebration centred on the Aud Torvingen books at Seattle’s wonderful National Nordic Museum in Ballard.
I have cancelled that event.
Kelley’s stepfather was admitted to hospital a week ago; his cancer has metastasised and is inoperable. While he’s still admitted, Kelley and I are scrambling to retrofit his house and sort out a care schedule so that on Thursday he can be discharged to hospice care at home.
We have other sad things going on right now, too, but I can’t bear to talk about that yet. I’m mentioning it only so that no one is alarmed if I’m largely absent from pubic view for a little while.
Expect communications to be slow.
