CW: Bricole : alim électrique portable
Powerrrr ! 2 ans après avoir commandé les premiers éléments, inspirée par l'alim de Julien Clauss pour le camp radio Modulations sur batterie au plomb, j'ai finalement complété et assemblé ce que j'avais pour monter mon 2ème dispositif. Plus petit et léger, mais toujours à base de batteries LiFePo4 (10x plus durables sur le long-terme et plus safe que les Li-ion) custom pour pouvoir alimenter divers bidules de manif, de ptite soirée ou de squat en courant continu. Mais avant de rentrer dans les détails, soyons honnête : oui, c'est dégeu en termes de chaîne d'approvisionnement psq pour le coup y a que très peu de récup (seulement des câbles et la boîte, en vrai), ayant commandé la plupart des éléments directement de Chine.
C'est moche mais c'est la réalité... et au moins j'ai pu me faire la main sur des bases correctes, et j'ai grave envie de passer à l'étape full-récup (même si c'est potentiellement plus dangereux et moins durable). J'ai aussi dans l'idée de tenter de bricoler un BMS DIY en #arduino/#ESP32 + relai d'occaz mais j'avoue ça me fait flipper et je pense pas vraiment avoir le temps ni les compétences pour faire ça bien. Y en a qui ont déjà fait ce genre de trucs ici d'ailleurs ? Bon et puis on a aussi des #Canarchy à prendre en main donc on a déjà du boulot en termes d'expérimentations !

The last days i had a wild experience.
I have been working on #CANarchy
,a canbus exploration and exploitation platform.I built it with circuitpython on an ESP32-S2 board.
Works as expected, code 90% done, time to order 30 boards.The boards arrive, the shitshow starts.
The first boards i got came with circuitpython preflashed.
The new ones came blank.
I installed the tinyuf2 bootloader -> works
I copied the circuitpython .uf2 to the volume -> blinks leds, writes ROMcrashes.

looks pretty straight forward to me.since the #CANarchy firmware is 99% done and written in circuitpython i think i will take this road.
the candlelight looks interesting but one needs to implement a USB device driver and while it might perform better, i think it will be more work to get it running.

\o/ woohoo what a ride.
I LOVE that feeling when things are in production and i just have to wait for delivery.
First time ever trying out JLCPCB SMT service.
