The Canadian Liberal government will be another minority, @cbcnews projects. Here's their liveblog with all the news of the election, including a high vote share for the Conservatives, whose leader, Pierre Poilievre has lost his seat, and the resignation of NDP leader Jagmeet Singh, who came third in his riding.

Bravo Zulu #Canada! For some reason this song has been running through my head this morning. There's a lot of truth to the stereotype about Canadians being polite; this, particularly the last verse, is just about the politest and most Canadian way of telling the U.S. to f**k off that I can possibly imagine.

CBC: “Canada election: Liberals will form next government, CBC News projects”
-
The Liberal Party, led by Mark Carney, is projected by @cbcnews to have won the Canadian federal election. Votes are still being counted, and it's too early to say whether the Liberals will form a majority or minority government. Follow CBC's liveblog here for the latest.

Yet another election where the media isn't doing their job.
Instead of helping Canadians understand the Westminster Parliamentary system that Canada uses, they report as if it were a US Presidential election.
Reporting as the sun crosses from east to west, generating Western alienation.
Elections Canada should be able to fine the media for this harm to Canada’s Democratic Institutions.

If you are Canadian you must vote Liberal today in your federal election.
Signed, a U.S. Citizen who doesn’t want you guys to go through this

For what might be obvious reasons, I watched the interview of Pierre Poilievre first as he has been the most vocal settler-colonial thinker of any of the leaders.

Given our #CanadianElection tomorrow, I’m going to ask everyone, regardless of politics, give time to this discussion and to be honest with themselves—who else would you rather lead #Canada for the next decade? 🇨🇦

Canada’s election takes place on Monday April 28. @thetyee’s Jen St. Denis compares the platforms of the three major parties (the Conservatives, Liberals and NDP) on issues such as housing, the economy, health, and that small matter of threats from the downstairs neighbo(u)rs.

This, #Canada, is why it is so important to get out and #VOTE. We are fighting for our sovereignty but also to keep Nazi ideology out of our country's leadership.

Continuing quote from carbonizedstardust from Threads, "... Can’t get a student loan? That’s your province.
Can’t get a raise? That’s your province.
Can’t get your passport? That’s the federal government. Like.
Stop letting the conservatives play you. They are lying.
You have to break your own chains of ignorance ❤️"#CanadianElection #cdnpoli #cdnpolitics #CanadaVotes #VoteCanada

To quote carbonizedstardust from Threads, it's time to understand which government is responsible for what in #Canada & stop ignorantly blaming the wrong government.
"Can’t afford a house? That’s your province.
Can’t afford rent? That’s your province.
Can’t afford property taxes? That’s your province.
Can’t see a doctor? That’s your province. ..." ... continued in the comments.#CanadianElection #cdnpoli #cdnpolitics #CanadaVotes #VoteCanada

With current attacks on #DEI in the US, & our upcoming #CanadianElection, this @RoamancingReads #podcast by Jacqueline Louie is a must listen to for all #Canadians. The story Jacqueline shares here of the exclusion of #ChineseCanadians in the shadows of #CanadianHistory is a reminder of why it's so important to #VOTE in the upcoming election, so we don't find ourselves living in a world that segregates & excludes.

She's trying to downplay it, but when she spends Alberta tax dollars courting Republicans in the US we all know who's side she's taking.
