#CanadaReads is happening again. Even though I am a big supporter of #Canadian #literature and #writers, this competitive format sends me over the edge. Haven't had a chance to watch day 1 of #CanadaReads yet, but I am glad that I can go from being extremely invested in Artemis II to being extremely invested in this for the week before I have to entertain myself again 😂

If anyone on here is in #Ontario, can access the Ontario Library Service Consortium (so small town libraries) and prefers #audiobooks to reading, books 1-3 of the #GameChangers series (aka #HeatedRivalry) have unlimited copies available right now.

I considered getting the #ToughGuy audiobook but Tor Thom’s voice is a bit too low and rumbly for me.

Whole lotta Canadian Gothic going on in the #CanadaReads books this year. I don't think I have the stomach for another depressingly bleak rural/small-town landscape where the people can't talk about their feelings and have … SECRETS! 😕

p.s. Sprinkling a bit of dystopia or magical realism on them doesn't do much to improve the flavour.
