If the Liberals need the NDP to form a minority government, NDP demands should include:
- at least 1 cabinet post. Give them a seat in the inner circle.
- make #ElectoralReform a legislative priority (idea from @ZebKing).
- insist on support for 2 or 3 NDP platform ideas and guarantee that the NDP gets credit for those ideas.

This is also an opportunity for Carney to demonstrate he governs for all Canadians.

#PeePee losing his seat means some interesting decisions by the #CPC. He has vowed to stay on as leader, so that means finding a riding for him to win so he can sit in Parliament and toss slogans at the opposition party. That means a nice safe riding since he can't be embarrassed by losing again. Which popular #CPC candidate is going to take one for the team and give up their seat.

Ironically, it was #Trump's attempted hegemony and 51st state nonsense that increased the fortunes of #Carney's Liberals. Prior to the election starting, it was trailing in the polls.

So, this is not just a triumph for Western democracy but another failure of #Trump's autocracy, and this election should be understood in that way.

If only he would have kept his big fat ignorant mouth shut, his preferred candidate may have won

This is the weirdest nail biter election I've ever watched. Conservatives and Liberals are both gaining, Liberals are down in Ontario but still in the lead, and Pollievre is behind in his riding despite the Conservative surge.

Liberals are leading in 22 seats in Atlantic Canada, Conservatives 10. Double digit for Conservatives is considered bad for Liberals, but 10 is low enough to not really be a victory for either.

As a harm reduction advocate, drug policy has always been an important issue for me. I will never vote Conservative because of their heavy-handed and cruel approach to addiction. They don't think we're people.

I voted! I had to register at the advanced polling station, but it wasn't too bad.

Remember, you don't need the voting card, you can come there with 2 pieces of valid ID. There's a little bit more time involved but worth it!
