If it weren't for the #smoke, I likely would have gone, even with the #rain Sat/ Sun.
Took Th/Fri off, cuz I don't set up the #tent Friday night & tear it down Sunday morning, I need 3 nights.
But it's #sunny tomorrow & lower PMI*, especially at a different #campground (which I haven't visited yet this #season) where I'll do a #DayTrip instead ( #masked, 'natch, if it's over 100).

Another glorious clear and dark night sky at #TerraNovaNP #DarkSkyPreserve on Wednesday. The park still has work to do addressing #LightPollution within the #campground, but I managed to find some shadows to capture these images from.
Second image is looking up at Cygnus, the #MilkyWay and some red nebulae. Captured with a 50mm lens and the venerable Canon 6D (modified).

The Municipality of #GrandLake in #NewBrunswick #Canada recently bought the old Princess Park provincial #campground and I thought it was a really good excuse for me to go back to where I spent a few summers as a kid and talk to the Mayor about what it means for the community.
Public #beach access is huge for the area which, despite having a giant lake in the area, was mostly private beach.
