#CAMM originated with #Dell as a project to replace bulkier #SODIMM memory slots. But the company worked with #JEDEC, a semiconductor standards body, which tweaked it and made CAMM2 available to a number of different PC companies. There's also the low-power LPDDR5 CAMM2, designed for thin #laptops, shortening this to #LPCAMM2

備註1：在 #美光 發表 CAMM 產品前，原先的 CAMM 產品多由 #三星 生產。
備註2：CAMM 的另外一個特色是可以在單片的記憶體模組提供雙通道的記憶體，也就是說每台筆電都只需要安裝一片 CAMM 就可以滿足雙通道記憶體的安裝需求；雖然部分電競筆電也會提供 4 SO-DIMM 的規格可以安裝，但目前還沒有看過有 2 CAMM 的筆電機型。
備註3：目前 CAMM 僅提供 DDR5/LPDDR5 規格，尚未有其他規格，應該是不會有 DDR4 機型的可能，但不確定。
備註4：CAMM 轉為 JEDEC 標準規格後，以 CAMM2 為標準名，但 CAMM 與 CAMM2 仍常見於稱呼該類型記憶體。
