Finally, late early hours and letting go of todays lights. Broken translations, stuttering machinery, unsure whether to still pay a closer attention to what's running uneven below the surface. Morning will have hours to sort things out. Trying to pull together all conscious thoughts left at hand, shaping them into clouds and constellations and miraculous animals solid as mountains fragile as snowflakes and here to stay here to fade with the dawn to draw near. Inner dialogues, watching neighbours on their late night rituals. A drink a cigarette and turning pages. The missing poetry in the sidenotes. Have a decent sleep wherever you are.

(Randfeierabend, schon vollständig geborgen unter Dunkelheit. Das Viertel schwingt in den Wochenend-Takt ein. Nebenan trägt die WG ihre Getränkekisten vom Transporter gen Treppenaufgang. Ein später Hausmeister verlässt sein Revier. Noch ein paar Schritte vor der Nacht: Immer irgendetwas vergessen. Zu viele Listen und zu wenig Disziplin.)

Letting the evening pass, once more. Decrypting server messages, but it seems their data isn't of much relevance today. Putting things on that pile to take care of tomorrow, already halfway into the new morning despite still wanting to keep the week away a bit. Downstairs, the janitor is shelving his tools and other arcane gear in a dirty van, having a cigarette and briefly discussing lighter issues with one of the lower floor dwellers. A strong wind a play of clouds and blue a play seasons and shadows. Early afternoon tales of multitasking and procrastination amidst the change of weather.

A lot later. Somehow lost touch with the time of week. Trying to get tomorrows agenda straight before noticing weekend and the absence of professional appointments. Rewind. Light of candles, and the intense touch of lavender in moist warm air. A play of shadows a dance in the room across the street, curtains closed and stories left to imagination. People laying the hours to rest, people heading for the city and its more glittering parts. Somewhere in between, humming old music, no words to sing. Have a pleasant night everyone wherever you are.
