There’s apparently going to be a season 16 of Call the Midwife!
I’d like to see an episode that foreshadows the AIDS epidemic since the timeline for this show is now well into the 1970s.
I’ve read that HIV was spreading quietly for decades in many different countries before this disease became well known in the 1980s.
The older characters had already lived through so many other epidemics, including polio, measles, diphtheria, and tuberculosis.
It would be interesting to see how they reacted to an early case of HIV given how many of their patients and friends were in higher-risk groups for it.
