Während #Gaskraftwerke nur einen kleinen Teil des französischen Energiemixes ausmachen, liefert die #Kernkraft rund 70 Prozent des Stroms. Die aktuellen Kapazitätsverluste entsprechen etwa 14 Prozent der gesamten #Kernkraftkapazität des Landes.
"Wir haben zwei Wellen klimabedingter Ausfälle erlebt, die in ihrem Ausmaß und Zeitpunkt beispiellos waren und Reaktoren betrafen, die normalerweise davon verschont bleiben", sagte Thibault Laconde, Gründer des Klimadaten-Analyseunternehmens #Callendar, der Nachrichtenagentur Reuters.Am Freitag dürften weitere Kernreaktoren ihre Leistung drosseln. Zwar soll die #Hitzewelle dem Wetterdienst #MeteoFrance zufolge in den kommenden Tagen abklingen, wegen des fehlenden Regens verschärft sich die Dürre im Land jedoch weiter.
