Transmission is better shifts smooth now as long as I avoid 4th gear. Heading up north more from SoCal on the 14th and gonna need gas money for this beast & one more tire. I did improve the mpg by replacing the damaged gas cap no idea how much but shouldn't be over 13mpg at best. Trying to make it to bend Oregon by March/April. Donation links are in my bio.

"Fremont city leaders on Tuesday night passed what could be the state’s most extreme anti-camping law over widespread condemnation from legal advocates and homeless services providers.
The ordinance bans camping on not only public property but also private land, including on residential property, for more than three consecutive nights. In what appears to be the first ban of its kind, it also prohibits anyone from 'permitting, aiding, abetting or concealing' camping on those lands — a provision so broad advocates warn it could have a chilling effect on outreach, food distribution and other efforts to provide much-needed help to unhoused people.
A violation is punishable by up to six months in jail or a fine of up to $1,000.

This photograph is the result of an unexpected and disappointing happenstance… that turned out fine in the end. I had driven a couple of hours before dawn to photograph in the Central Valley. But when I arrived I found a small group of people waiting outside a locked gate. That happens sometimes, and sooner or later the gate opens automatically. But this time it did not, and we could not find a way to open it. I’m staycationing this week, using up as much vacation leave I accrued during the pandemic as I can, before I lose it at the end of June. It was such a nice morning, so I took the Vespa into town to grab some lunch. It’s super busy in Bishop for Mule Days, but the best part of living here is that in about two minutes, I can be all by myself and out of town again. With all the burn scars through out #Californa it doesn't take much to cause landslides/rockslides or debris flows.
We don't want another #Montecito so hears what to watch/listen for.
