A bit of an overview of the rock garden in Calhoun Georgia. It’s a miniature - for certain expansive value of miniature - rock Village. Handbuilt and never intended to be a tourist attraction. It’s also free, located behind the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

@erikcats the guy who started it all was a sculpture and artist. He was building it with his grandchildren. Nothing has been built on this for about six years now it’s strictly in maintenance mode. And it’s been built overtime by at least four different people. They have a thing with the history of it so I will post that picture at some point and might copy the text of the poster into an alt text of one of the other ones.

Erythemis simplicicollis, the eastern pondhawk dragonfly per inaturalist. This is either a female or an immature male.
It’s a very pretty dragonfly and it was not the one that was most common there. -
The fat ugly Sasquatch in the middle of the frame for scale is my baby brother. He is one year and two weeks younger than I.
There are numerous of the rock art pieces visible in this picture. It’s a neat little place. Good for an hour or two.

This, is a local tourist attraction in Calhoun Georgia. You can search for rock garden Calhoun, Georgia in Google Maps to get to it. It’s free. It’s behind the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It was never intended to be a tourist attraction. It’s been in maintenance for the past six years. This is one of about 14 to 17 similar structures.
It’s taller than I am. It’s made from quick Crete and Home Depot sand.
