  1. By the way. I had in memory from Ken #Caldeira and Ricke 2010? that global mean temperature evolution lags 10 years after a CO2 pulse.
    I often did play around with the data to see it for myself. But today, I did something different.
    I plotted year-on-year growth of CO2 and °C anomaly. And look how well they match.
    Even the strength of the ups and downs are congruent. Following El Nino and La Nina.

    Contrary to Caldeira, CO2 shows a lag of 8 months in mimicking the °C evolution.

    Certainly no lag in temperature evolution compared to CO2.

    CO2 at Mauna Loa combines our fossil emissions and emissions from nature, the latter being a direct reaction to °C and precipitation. Since our fossil emissions and its growth year on year don't change – except going up and up – the CO2-temperature correlation is purely natural. 💡
