On the 26th of December we invite you to a cozy and christmassy evening at Café Cralle.
On that evening, we want to create a space for tin* (trans, inter and non-binary) people and their friends where we can cook, eat, craft, play and dance together.
For everyone who is staying in Berlin over the holidays and/or needs a queer space during the heteronormative Christmas season. Here you can spend the evening, meet new people or spend time with people you already know.
The evening consists of two parts: first we will cook together, decorate the room and eat. Then the open program begins with different corners for games, puzzles, reading, getting to know people, dancing.
In addition to snacks/(pre-cooked) food, you can also bring whatever you feel comfortable with (e.g. your favorite games, music, a book).
Please come to the event tested and register with us by 24.12.
The evening is organized by Junis (he/they) and Francis (they).

Am 26.12. laden wir Euch zu einem gemütlichen und weihnachtlichen Abend im Café Cralle ein.
Wir möchten an dem Abend einen Raum für tin* (trans, inter und nicht-binär) Personen und deren Friends gestalten, in dem wir gemeinsam kochen, essen, basteln, spielen und tanzen können.
Für alle, die über die Feiertage in Berlin bleiben, und/oder einen queeren Raum in der heteronormativen Weihnachtszeit brauchen. Hier könnt ihr den Abend verbringen, neue Leute kennenlernen, oder mit bereits Bekannten Zeit verbringen.
Der Abend besteht aus zwei Teilen: zuerst wollen wir gemeinsam kochen, den Raum dekorieren und essen. Danach beginnt das offene Programm mit verschiedenen Ecken zum spielen, puzzeln, lesen, Leute kennenlernen, oder tanzen.
Kommt bitte getestet zur Veranstaltung und meldet euch bis zum 24.12. bei uns an.
Organisiert wird der Abend von Junis (er/they) und Francis (dey).

The Battle of Tuntenhaus

OV w Eng subsThe Tuntenhaus was originally a queer squat on Mainzer Str. in East Berlin, born out of resistance and solidarity.
This documentary captures the struggles of the inhabitants of Tuntenhaus and chronicles their fight against capitalist assimilation, culminating in the brutal state repression: a militarized assault by 3.000 West German cops, armed with tanks and tear gas. Directed by Juliet Bashore, it stands as a testament to the resilience of radical queer rebellion.

OV mit englischem UntertitelDas Tuntenhaus war ursprünglich ein queeres besetztes Haus in der Mainzer Straße in Ost-Berlin, das aus Widerstand und Solidarität entstand.
Dieser Dokumentarfilm fängt die Kämpfe der Bewohner des Tuntenhauses ein und berichtet von ihrem Kampf gegen die kapitalistische Assimilation, der in der brutalen staatlichen Repression gipfelte: einem militarisierten Angriff von 3.000 westdeutschen Polizisten, bewaffnet mit Panzern und Tränengas.
Unter der Regie von Juliet Bashore ist der Film ein Zeugnis für die Widerstandsfähigkeit der radikalen queeren Rebellion.

Month after month, the Bechern statt Baggern takes place in the rooms of Café Cralle. But who and what is actually behind the slogan "Liebe Schnaps und Revolution"? What does revolution look like in a collective business and what has to happen behind the bar?
Love schnapps and revolution!
That's what Café Cralle, founded in 1977, stands for!
The queer-feminist collective works as free of hierarchy as possible, with equal rights and not oriented towards maximising profits.
Cralle shows that wage labour can be done differently than in the otherwise sexist and racist catering industry.
And yet it sometimes struggles with capitalist conditions and constraints. What does everyday life behind the bar look like in a pub and how is it organised as a collective?
Two collectivistas give us an insight into 46 years of collective history.

Monat für Monat findet das Bechern statt Baggern in den Räumen des Café Cralle statt. Doch wer und was steckt eigentlich hinter dem Slogan „Liebe Schnaps und Revolution“? Wie sieht Revolution machen im Kollektivbetrieb aus und was muss dafür alles hinterm Tresen passieren?
Liebe Schnaps und Revolution!
Dafür steht das 1977 gegründete Café Cralle!
Das queerfeministische Kollektiv arbeitet möglichst hierarchiefrei, gleichberechtigt und nicht an Gewinnmaximierung orientiert.
Das Cralle zeigt, dass Lohnarbeit auch anders geht als in der sonst so sexistischen und rassistischen Gastro-Branche.
Und dennoch struggelt es manchmal mit den kapitalistischen Verhältnissen und Zwängen. Wie sieht der Kneipen Alltag hinter dem Tresen aus und wie wird sich hier als Kollektivbetrieb organisiert?
Zwei Kollektivistas geben uns Einblicke in 46 Jahre Kollektivgeschichte.
