Went to the cabins tonight to do a cleanup. Lots of stuff scattered by the wind including the pan from the fire pit. Wanted to move it so I did, and burnt some wood scraps. #CabinLife #Nunavut

Most of our flowering plants colonized the north Baffin after the last ice age. As the ice retreated the plants followed it north. But three of our flowers survived the ice age here and reestablished populations. They are Vaux’s Cinquefoil, Pallas Wallflower, and this beauty, Silvery Oxytrope. One of the best places to find it is at our cabin. #Nunavut #CabinLife #Wildflowers

Yesterday we “warmed” the cabin. Crowded and joyful. People came and ate and made space for others. Games were held at my in-laws’ cabin for more room. Tuktu stew, allu, bannock, salads and plenty of desserts. #CabinLife #Nunavut

Coming back to the cabin at the end of the walk. I was soaked in sweat as I was way over dressed. Stuck around the cabin longer than expected as I had to dry out clothes before snowmobiling back to town. #CabinLife #Nunavut
