"Jumping Jive" (also known as "(Hep-Hep!) The Jumpin' Jive") is a famous #jazz/ #swing composition, #written by #CabCalloway, #FrankFroeba, and #JackPalmer. Originally #recorded on 17 July 1939, on #VocalionRecords, it sold over a million copies and reached #2 on the Pop chart. Calloway performs the song with his orchestra and the #NicholasBrothers in the 1943 #musicalFilm #StormyWeather.

"Minnie the Moocher" is a #jazz song co-written by American musician #CabCalloway and first recorded in 1931 by Calloway and his #bigBand orchestra, selling over a million copies. "Minnie the Moocher" is famous for its nonsensical #adLibbed lyrics, also known as #scatSinging (for example, its refrain of "Hi de hi de hi de ho"). In performances, Calloway would have the audience.
