@monicarooney Ugh. I remember one year (I’m thinking 2017 or 2018) getting dragooned by the Forsythia Festival organizers into tying the strings on all those glazed doughnuts. For days afterward (despite multiple showers) I stuck to everything I touched. #Cabbagetown

Six trick-or-treaters came to the door this evening. Which I guess is better than the past few years, but still dismally low. Wish our street was more of a draw for kids so we’d get a few more, at least.

(Still remember in #Cabbagetown when we’d get over 400 kids at the door before running out of candy and having to turn off the lights. Miss those days, and that neighborhood.)

Walking down to the shops encountered a hairy fellow chatting loudly with no one and eating cinnamon toast crunch out of the box. On my way back I noticed some of his cereal tossed here and there on my route. Passed him a few minutes later still eating out of the box and talking loudly at no one. #toronto #cabbagetown

@michael that’s exactly correct. I go to the #cabbagetown location because it’s walkable. I almost joined the original when it first opened, but ran into the same issue: the owners think they know what people want and refuse to listen.

Unfortunately, it gives me exactly what I want. A walkable coffee shop so I can escape distractions of home for hours without feeling guilty.
