@bit101 grew up in the #vinyl / #tape era.

The transition from #analog to #digital was foisted on the market. Cost more than vinyl (inflation), though you could carry sound. Now you could transfer your favourite #album to tape and play it on cassette. It did mean you had to record from vinyl and find a #C90 (tape).

Walking around, headphones on in the 80s with a booming record was fun.
