Voor mijn werk heb ik vier jaar in zo'n fantastische machine mogen rijden, geweldig. Helaas kostte de laatste APK toen ineens zo ontzettend veel geld dat m'n baas daar een einde aan maakte. Nooit zoveel pijn gevoeld bij het afscheid van een auto.
Maar goed, hij is bij een liefhebber terechtgekomen. Ik wilde hem niet voor een paar honderd euro verkopen aan een sloper, dus heb ik 'm weggegeven aan een Citrofiel die 'm helemaal in orde gaat maken.

Vandaag staat er bij ons op kantoor in Dordrecht wel een heel mooie auto op de parkeerplaats. Sinds het afscheid van de C6 heeft er niet zoiets moois onder ons raam gestaan 😎

Vanavond heb ik de CX weer opgehaald bij garage Très Beau in Leerdam.
Ik was vanaf kantoor met de trein naar Leerdam gereden en werd daar opgehaald... in mijn eigen auto 😎
Poosje zitten kletsen en een korte rondleiding gehad door de garage: een natte droom van elke Citrofiel 🤤
Daarna zo'n 150 zalige kilometers naar Vlissingen gereden, waarna ik haar weer op haar bekende plaats in de garage heb teruggezet.
Ze is weer thuis, en rijdt weer zoals een CX hoort te rijden. De C6 was een stuk moderner en een waardige opvolger van de CX, maar ik vind de superzachte vering van de CX toch een stuk fijner.
Vrijdag ga ik weer naar kantoor, dan niet met de trein maar per vliegend tapijt 👍

Morgen wordt mijn Citroën CX opgehaald. Na jaren stil te hebben gestaan in de garage, wordt ze weer klaargemaakt om als vanouds over de weg te zweven.
De experts bij Très Beau gaan haar onder handen nemen.
Na het overlijden van de C6 had ik een andere auto nodig. Dat zou geld kosten, en het leek me fijner om dat geld dan te investeren in de CX, zodat ik mijn kilometers weer in stijl kan maken.
Het uit de garage halen kan nog lastig worden. Zoals elke "echte" Citroën, heeft de CX hydropneumatische vering, en als er geen druk op het systeem staat, zakt zo'n auto helemaal in. En omdat de motor niet loopt (geen accu en heel oude E5-benzine), komt er ook geen druk op dat systeem.
En ik heb haar best strak ingeparkeerd, al zeg ik het zelf...

Wegens omstandigheden te koop: Citroën C6, 2006, 3.0V6 benzine, automaat.
Een kapot nokkenaslager, waarvan de reparatie volgens de dealer zo'n €4500 gaat kosten, is de reden dat ik afscheid moet nemen van deze fantastische auto.
Dit is geen auto voor de gemiddelde rijder; los van de aparte vormgeving heeft deze auto de modernste, computergestuurde hydropneumatische vering: van boterzacht zolang mogelijk tot spijkerhard zodra nodig, het beroemde "vliegende tapijt".

Er staat 254000km op de teller. Met een beetje TLC en een liefdevolle nieuwe eigenaar zou deze auto nog heel lang mee moeten kunnen.
Hij staat nu op winterbanden, de zomerbanden zitten er ook bij. Beide setjes op de lichtmetalen C6-velgen.

Er is wat parkeerschade linksvoor, iemand nam de bocht blijkbaar wat te krap. Het armatuur van mist- en dagrijlamp dat los is gekomen, zit erbij. Met wat handigheid zou dat makkelijk terug te plaatsen moeten zijn.
De beschermplaat tussen de voorwielen is kortgeleden los geraakt, ook dat zou eenvoudig weer vastgezet moeten kunnen worden op de brug.

Keurig netjes interieur, velours bekleding.
Autoradio met CD-speler, plus een CD-wisselaar in de kofferbak. Alle ruiten elektrisch bediend, links/rechts gescheiden climate control, xenon-koplampen met sproeiers, mistlampen voor en achter, en een #trekhaak.

De #C6 is uitgevallen, en de zaak wil er geen geld meer aan uitgeven, dus zat ik ineens zonder auto. Erg onhandig...
Gelukkig kan ik voorlopig deze auto van @Erik van Zijst lenen. Heel andere auto dan de #Citroën, maar beggars can't be choosers. -

20 May 2024: The cycleway #C3 #CS3 counter on London's Victoria #Embankment has blown through #1million cycle journeys this year with a 12+k day.
May 20th is the earliest #1million since the counter was installed in 2018.
The cycleway #C6 #CS6 counter on #Blackfriars Road is also having a record year-to-date at 623k, and the better end of 7k today.
The displays on both counters are reported to have had offline days this year.
