Another view of C/2025 R3 PanSTARRS, this time from the CCOR-1 coronagraph aboard NOAA’s GOES-19 satellite (https://ccor.nrl.navy.mil/).
Unlike SOHO, which is 1.5 million km away, GOES-19 watches from geostationary orbit.

☄️C/2025 R3 PanSTARRS as seen through the eyes of the SOHO/LASCO C3 instrument during its solar conjunction on April 25 around 05:23 UTC.
Note the forward scattering effect - the dust in the tail is backlit by the Sun, making the comet appear significantly brighter in this geometry.
Since SOHO is located at the L1 Lagrangian point (1.5 million km closer to the Sun than Earth), it has a front-row seat to this backlighting.

I had to work hard on this one due to the comet's very low altitude, the rising sun, and the city glow.
