I wrote 1,743 words yesterday! And most surprising of all, I pantsed it. It's not usually my style.
My #BYOK (Bring Your Own Keyboard) deck finally arrived in the mail, my reward from supporting the crowdfunding campaign. I love it. It is exactly the level of low-tech I need to actually focus.
At medium font size it shows 6 lines of text. No formatting, just .txt files saved to a microSD card. There is an online syncing option to a cloud account, which I don't intend to use. They also have a web app at byok.io/studio for organising your writing project, which isn't really my vibe.

Addendum - I mean they asked for like $5 k and currently are sitting at $300k (ish) , with approx a month left to go - so clearly there is a hardware /device niche that people really feel they want BUT
I'm just some random internet person and yet..
Yeah scope creep. I see it on the horizon....
[I wish them all the best though and truly once it hits the open market will probably buy one at retail price - providing prices don't zoom up..]

#Kickstarter #BYOKbecause.. an Open API will allow people to create software they want, that fits their niche uses, at a rate that current small team couldn't possibly do.
They will just Test and Certify plugins..
Which.. ok.?
Do they have a secondary Team / Resources in place to do that because running a user submitted plugin via API is a *huge* undertaking!

@Fromin so your underlying data and the metadata about it is supposedly isolated and includes bring your own key / #BYOK encryption if you buy the #Salesforce #Shield product. But there are some cases where a SFDC employee updated a table and gave all users in multiple Orgs admin - so the rights of your users might be in their cloud and not yours (if that makes any sense).
