Since the new Twitter TOS takes effect on November 15 and continuing to use the site means you consent to having all of your posts being used to train generative AI, we finally deactivated our one remaining Twitter account.
We're on the fence about setting up another account for the sole purpose of viewing content without contributing. Alternately, we could just use a crappy AI to post to the site and poison the training data they're harvesting. Maybe we'll do so in the future, if we find we're missing too much from Twitter, but the recent uptick in everything on Bluesky (and, to a lesser extent, Mastodon) has us feeling like we're not gonna miss anything worth being worried about.

Nach einer zweimonatigen Bluesky-Zwangspause stelle ich fest:
1. Dort ist jetzt deutlich mehr los.
2. Es fühlt sich doch sehr nach Twitter an.
3. Ich bin mir gar nicht sicher, ob ich das überhaupt noch so will.Mastodon hingegen fühlt sich weiterhin anders und vor allem entspannter an.
Ich bleibe gespannt, wie sich das alles weiterentwickelt.

Just finished up deleting my tweets and retweets. I'm officially, 100% done with Twitter and not looking back. Not deleting the account because I don't want someone else taking my name, so yeah, did the next best thing I suppose.
Not gonna lie, it felt bittersweet seeing some of the older things pop up again, but I know it's better for me. I'm gonna be more active here, VR, Twitch and DMs mostly. Gonna also try to be more productive in general. -

I'll likely blank my icon nearer the end of the month. I don't even want my icon to be fed to an algorithm; the artists who've drawn for me deserve better than that. My profile will continue to exist solely to redirect people to better websites and to prevent someone from stealing the username for nefarious purposes.
